This website has no user accounts and no analytics or advertising tracking. We process personal data only where that is required to run the site, or when you email us.

The site is delivered as a static export from a dedicated virtual private server in the European Union, served by nginx under hirsch-industriehandel.de. When a page is requested, technically necessary data is written to server logs, in particular:

• IP address of the requesting device (shortened or full, depending on the server configuration),
• date and time of the request,
• requested URL and HTTP status code,
• amount of data transferred, and
• browser type and operating system (user agent).

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a secure and stable website). Log data is kept only as long as needed for troubleshooting, security and abuse detection, usually no longer than 14 days, unless a security incident requires longer retention.

Search and filters in the catalog run in your browser. Search terms are not sent to us.

“Send inquiry” opens your email program with a prepared message to anfrage@hirsch-industriehandel.de. The website does not store the content. Once you send the email, we process the details you provide (for example name, email address, item number and message) in order to handle your inquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the inquiry aims at a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (handling inquiries). Emails about ongoing or completed business are kept for up to ten years under commercial and tax rules. Non-binding inquiries with no contract are usually deleted once dealt with, and at the latest after twelve months, unless a statutory retention duty applies.

IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono are delivered with the website. A normal page view does not load font files from another server.

We do not set cookies for analytics, marketing or profiling. Technically necessary cookies may arise from the browser or the server only to the extent a page request without login requires them. On these static catalog pages that usually does not happen at all.
